Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Colorado's leading real estate firm, has announced title sponsorship of the inaugural Denver Century Ride to benefit local charities through the Coldwell Banker Community Fund.
The charity cycling event, scheduled for Father's Day on Sunday, June 20 will begin at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver and will include a 22-mile family fun ride as well as, an exhilarating 62-mile metric century ride and a 100-mile century challenge along an inspiring route rising 4,050 feet through urban, suburban and rural settings with plains, foothills and mountain terrain including a signature climb up and over Lookout Mountain.
Each ride will begin and end at INVESCO Field and conclude with an old-fashioned Father's Day picnic and an exciting Expo & Finish Festival featuring the latest products and services for the active lifestyle.
"The Denver Century Ride is Colorado's newest cycling experience," said Chris Mygatt, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Colorado. "Father's Day is the ideal time to spend a fun and healthy day outdoors with dad, friends and fellow cyclists. The Denver Century Ride routes have been designed for novice, intermediate and avid cyclists.
"It's also the perfect training ride to get ready for this summer's cycling events such as the Triple By-Pass, Copper Triangle, Courage Classic and Ride the Rockies" Mygatt said.
A portion of the registration fee for the bicycle ride will be sent to various non-profit organizations, including the following: Denver's Road Home, developed by the Denver Commission to End Homelessness which entails a 10-year plan approved by Mayor Hickenlooper in May 2005; Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center dedicated to protecting and saving the lives of abused and neglected children through legal advocacy, innovative programs and public policy reform; and The Davis Phinney Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Parkinson's disease.
