Leading Realtor gives back to the community where he lives and works

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - January 27, 2010 -

Michael Marcus, a top-producing real estate professional with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greenwood Village, has been elected to the board of the homeowner's association of The Hills East near Cherry Creek State Park. Marcus, who has been a resident of The Hills East for the past 12 years, will serve as treasurer of the HOA throughout 2010.

"The Hills East is an upscale community of 125 homes built in the mid to late 1990's and nestled between the Denver Tech Center and the Cherry Creek state recreation area," said Marcus. "I have been active with The Hills East HOA as a volunteer for the past several years and I'm looking forward to serving the homeowner's association as treasurer. My responsibilities on the three-member board entail working with our management company to ensure the association is run properly, with particular emphasis on architectural control and grounds maintenance in order to help maintain property values in the neighborhood. As treasurer, I oversee an annual budget of $50,000."

Marcus and his wife, Laurie, comprise The Marcus Team at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Greenwood Village. He earned his real estate license in 1994 and has garnered numerous awards for superior sales production. Marcus holds special designations recognizing the successful completion of stringent continuing education courses in real estate. He is a member of the Allied Jewish Federation, the past state chair for Realtor PAC, and serves on the board of directors for his synagogue.

This past November, Marcus completed a grueling 300-mile bike ride in Israel to benefit the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (AIES). The Israel Ride promoted environmental research and peace building in the Middle East through AIES, the premier environmental teaching and research program in the Middle East.
