LAFAYETTE, Colo. - June 16, 2009 - Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital & Pain Management Center in Lafayette has scheduled its grand opening for June 27, 2009. The new facility will share space with Lafayette Animal Emergency, Rover Retreat Doggie Day Care, and Bark Avenue Pet Boutique. Doug McBee, a broker associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT in Boulder, found the location at Highway 287 and Baseline Road for Dr. Rob Landry, owner and founder of Mountain Ridge.
"Dr. Landry's vision for expanding his Mountain Ridge Animal Center included offering more services under one roof to pet owners and animal lovers," said McBee. "I studied animal husbandry in college and have a passion for animals. I grew up with farmer grandparents, once owned a farm, spent over 15 years as a blacksmith, and raised German Shepherds. This background helped me find an extraordinary facility for Dr. Landry. This was an intense project but one of the most personally gratifying I've had."
McBee will serve as a cook during the grand opening on June 27 when attendees will enjoy barbeque, soft drinks and a tour of the new facility. According to McBee, Dr. Landry is dedicated to the community and insisted on staying in Lafayette. Dr. Landry organized the First Annual Tails n' Trails 3K Run/Walk to benefit The Children's Hospital which was held on June 20, 2009. He hopes to hold this event on an annual basis.
