Tickets for the 20th annual Washington Park Home Tour are $15 each or $20 the day of the event. Tickets may be purchased online at www.washparkhometour.org, at Steele Elementary, or at First Bank of Cherry Creek located at 1st Avenue and St. Paul. A barbeque and plant sale will also take place at Steele Elementary School.
The annual tour showcases five distinctive homes representing various styles, including historic residences, combinations of old and new, and New Denver Square architecture. You can tour award-winning remodels, a rare 1923 Dutch Colonial, and a Craftsman Bungalow. South High School is also open during the tour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing tourists the opportunity to view the remarkable architecture of this beautiful school.
"This is a great annual event for a worthy cause," said Buss. "Select homes are distinguished by a glass box addition featuring an incredible two-story full-glass wall leading to a 32-foot kitchen that subsequently leads to an outdoor room with lap pool. The bungalows on the tour are truly special, including one built in 1910 and renovated in 2003, garnering a Chrysalis Award and a Colorado Award for Remodeling Excellence (C.A.R.E Award). Each home offers something unique and exciting, so please join us on Mother's Day weekend for an event you'll remember well into the future."
