GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – June 11, 2012 –
Tammy Adducci, managing broker of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Southeast Metro office in Greenwood Village, recently raised $25,555.00 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) during a 10-week fundraising campaign. Adducci was one of 14 Coloradans vying for the society’s Man & Woman of the Year honors.
Adducci and the 13 other candidates were recognized during LLS’s Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale Gala held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Denver Marriott City Center. The fundraising campaign raised more than $282,000 for cancer research and patient support services, a record amount for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of LLS.

Blood cancers are the number three cancer killer in North America and the money raised during the campaign helps fulfill LLS’s mission to find a cure. The funds are invested by LLS in leading edge research that investigates the causes of blood cancers while seeking better therapies. The funds are also used to provide patients, their families and friends with blood cancer information and services to help them cope throughout their Journey.
Kelly Bar-Or of Greenwood Village was named Woman of the Year and Marc Paolicelli of Denver was named Man of the Year. All 14 candidates were inspired by seven-year-olds Jack Selden of Louisville and Taylor Jones of Colorado Springs, the society’s Boy & Girl of the Year who are both blood cancer survivors.
